The Bridge Music Library
The project was named after the buildings structural truss system. The Bridge Music Library was a bold design that integrated the storage of instruments within storage cells between the buildings diagonal members.

Model
Early on in the design process, the need for a final model of the Music Library was necessary. Although the model does not precisely represent materiality and openings, it does represent the geometric forms that can make the final building difficult to understand.
Early Process
After our studio visited the build site of Albany Park for our library, we began to develop concept models. Unsure of what program to dedicate the project to, Tucker and I designed our sketch models to accommodate for storage techniques and structure.
Module 01
A clear favorite was developed from the sketch models. “Module 01” provided storage space within a bold diagonal member and had the possibility to be repeated
Form
After repeating “Module 01” to create a loose form of the library, examining the building within the context of the Albany Park neighborhood allowed us to determine material and program. We dedicated our library to the storage and housing of musical instruments
